Glass Microfiber Filters for Wastewater Analysis

Sterlitech glass fiber filters are made of pure borosilicate fibers and are available in a wide range of flow rates and nominal pore sizes. The glass filter membranes below are available with or without binder resins and each membrane disc filter can be sterilized by EtO, gamma, or autoclave.  Listed below are the glass fiber filter grades that are best suited for use in water and wastewater analysis:

  • 934-AH® glass filters, used for SM 2540D and EPA Method 160.2.
  • Grade VSS, used to measure the volatile suspended solids in water.
  • Grade TSS used to measure the total suspended solids in water.
  • Grade E. used for suspended particle analysis in water, cell harvesting, and pre-filtration.
